Hi to all! Has anybody seen Percy Jones video "bass explorations of Percy Jones"? I think it could be interesting (it's done by one of the greatest fretless players ever!), but I'd like to know your opinions...I'd like to order it, where can I find it (percy's site? amazon?...)?

Usally, I try to choose the tone that works the best for the music I'm playing, accepting also suggestions from m ypals...that said, on fretless, I love to use a middle rangy but somehow "fat" sound...à la Marcus Miller or Percy Jones (Wal epoca...)...

Hey Redbeardred, sorry for the deelay, I've been away for a while... For the cleaning of my fretless and fretted necks I'm using lemonoil, it works really well if used in the right dosage and if you dry it with a clean cloth...Mark Egan suggested me to use it!! Lately I've been lucky enough to find a couple of really competent and hard working guys who told me "let's do a special sound check for your fretless when everybody has finished and then together with the band"...So I did the regular check with drums on my fretted axe and then we spent a 15 minutes...

Great advices as always....
I would add : clean yor fretless neck with care...the fingerboard requires much more attention than a fretted bass, and a dirt one colud affect badly your sound!!
