A Proper Introduction

Post by point19 » Sun May 13, 2007 1:18 pm

Hi everyone,

I've posted a few things here, but never really given a proper introduction., So, here it goes:

I am from Ohio, and have been playing one instrument or another for about 17 years. Recently, due to poor health and injury, I have found myself with a lot of time on my hands, and decided to defret an old junky Squier II P-Bass that I had laying around. I have wanted a fretless for years, but could never justify the cost (I'm disabled, so even a cheap bass is kinda hefty right now).

I have always loved the bass, and envied those fretless guys with their tasteful nuances and beautiful tones. Despite being a drummer and guitarist in other situations, bass has always been number 1.

I do not have any claims to fame, like opening up for someone or backing someone else etc. But, I do enjoy making music and incorporating that defretted bass into my stuff. I am trying to reform my old band (Point 19) with a new guitarist and drummer, so we'll see where the fretless will fit in....
