WTB Fretless with Unlined Maple Board

I must be crazy or missing something (other than this bass). Why is it so difficult to find a bass (4, 5 or 6 string) with a Unlined Maple board? I don't think I am asking too much, but I just cannot find any. I know that Fender made P basses off and on through the '70's but those are pretty hard to come by and way over priced. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of someone who has one for sale or a company that makes one or something???
Thanks for the help.

You should see a luthier and ask him to put epoxy paint or ebonol on the fret board.
Maybe the fretlines will be covered by the paint.

Here's one.
This is a Silvertone Samick currently up on ebay

The seller has bundled it with several other items so will probably be too expensive for an econo-bass.
Personally, I wouldn't buy this instrument, but its' existance proves that they are out there.
