Fretless Electric Bass built by Dave Wendler

Current bid: US $51.00
Buy it Now Price: US $799.00
SOLD! $650.00

fretless bass made by Dave Wendler. The body is made of red cedar. The neck is maple with an ebanol fingerboard and was bought from Mighty-Mite. The bass has a piezo pickup built in to the bridge and a humbucking pickup. The controls are attached to the pickguard...volume and pickup blend. The instrument is passive (no battery or preamp). It is strung with Thomastik Jazz Flats which you may never need to change.

The bass sounds more like an acoustic instrument than any other bass I have ever played.

You can read more and see more pictures on this website:

Modulus Quantum 5 string fretless bass 2003
My note: These are superb instruments.

Current bid: US $1,500.00
SOLD! $1,550.00 And worth even more (IMO).

For sale, Modulus Quantum 5 string fretless bass in almost new condition. Body is a beautiful walnut color and is like new. Neck is graphite and is unlined. It's a 2003 Modulus Quantum 5 string fretless bass so it has a truss rod and also comes with a Modulus hard shell case in very good condition. The pickups and preamp are Bartolini. This bass has an amazing sound and look and the low B string is tight as a drum.

Fender Squire Modified Vintage Fretless Jazz Bass

Starting bid: US $149.00
End time: Apr-21-08 18:56:41 PDT
SOLD! US $232.50

Fender Squire Modified Vintage Fretless Jazz Bass. It is in excellent to mint condition. I made a few changes...EMG Select pickups (not as noisy as the original Duncan Designed pups), CTS audio taper volume control, CTS tone control with Sprague Orange Drop capacitor, and Switchcraft jack. I also installed a set of Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats. It's a great fretless bass with superb tone and playability.

80'S FENDER JAZZ SPECIAL BASS FRETLESS MIJ PRECISION 9

My Note: These are the best of both worlds, a very nice axe.

Current bid: US $56.50
End time: Apr-23-08 13:26:09 PDT
SOLD! US $660.00 - A bit more than I thought it should bring, but a good axe.

1980'S FENDER JAZZ SPECIAL. Fretless limited edition electric bass. Rare Japanese factory hybrid unlined Jazz bass. This bass features the fast Jazz neck. And the larger P-Bass body. And a combination of P/J pick-ups. Produced for a short period of time. Fender Japan no longer exports to America.

ALL STOCK! Sans strings! 9/10 condition!!!

The new Fender Fretless basses USA/MEX; All have sissy marks on the neck. You can't find a cool real Fender Fretless, new anymore. This 80's special is very high quality. And was the top of the line model. The neck is smooth and has near perfect tonal qualities. Much better than the MIJ 50's reissue Jazz. Just as good a American Jazz bass from the 70's to present. There's a big difference when you go up high on the neck. This is consistent and very smooth in tones.

Condition: 8.5-9. Appears that rounds have never been used. there's no burn marks/round wound damage on the finger board. Currently, there's a set of Ernie Ball fine flats. There's 2-3 paint chips on the body. Both small. See photos. Back of neck, and front are both excellent. Tuners are excellent. Pick ups are stock.

Fender Bass

My Note: Made in Mexico - Fretless conversion P - bass. This seller has mis-identified the instrument in the title and it may not attract many bids.

Starting bid: US $74.99
End time: Apr-28-08 20:04:32 PDT
SOLD! $107.51

Fender Precision Bass up for sale. I don't know much about it. I purchased it from Guitar Center in Austin, TX a few years ago. The frets are filled in, making it fretless. It currently does not have strings on it and when it did, it played pretty good, however this is the only fretless bass I've ever played/owned. It has two knobs, one for volume and one for tone. It's painted a flat/primer brownish color. I haven't picked it up for at least a year, hence the eBay auction. I'm not sure what year it is but it says on the neck, made in Mexico.

Switch I Signature Innovo Vibrocel Fretless Bass Guitar
Current bid: US $15.51
Apr-30-08 18:00:00 PDT
SOLD! $185.07 A good axe for low $$$

My Note: I played one of these in a music store and was impressed with the quality considering it is all man made materials. If this bass goes for low amount, it will be a screamin deal! Don't let the body sculpting put you off, this is a darn good axe for low money. Neck feels like a Fender Precision (C shape) but sleeker.

Up for auction is this silver vibrocel fretless bass made by Switch Music, model Innovo I Signature. The bass is in excellent shape, like new condition, very little sign of use. Features a fretless ebonite fingerboard. Plays and sounds very good. Comes w/ a free gig bag. Check this site for more info on this bass, Click Here! . Take a look at the pictures below to see items.

Roscoe Century Fretless 5 String Bass Custom 34" Scale!

Starting bid: US $999.00
End time: May-01-08 13:21:05 PDT
SOLD! $1,725.00

My Note: Roscoe basses are among the finest.

Roscoe Century fretless 5 string bass custom made with some unique features. This bass has an alder body, highly figured redwood top/matching headstock, lined Diamondwood fingerboard, Bartolini CB pickups, Bartolini 3 band preamp in a 5 knob layout instead of the typical Roscoe 4-knob with stacked bass/treble. The pickups are placed in the 60's Fender Jazz locations instead of the usual Roscoe arrangement. The scale length is 34" scale, and the string spacing is 19mm at the bridge and the nut is 1 7/8". The playability of this bass is incredible...there is no other Roscoe out there like this one! The bass will ship in a very nice Roscoe gigbag (pictured). Shipping is based on your location. I accept Paypal but will only ship to a confirmed address. No international bidders please. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the mention of the new page we posted:
http://www.fretlessbass.com/shopping-ebay-basses.html

Its good to see so much activity on this post. I have personally bought 4 basses off of eBay - there is no better selection!

We would appreciate any purchases going through our page listed above as the very small affiliate commissions help support the site, but no problem if its not convenient.

Thanks again!
