It's true!! I watched the webcast of the press conference / rehearsal 2/12.
There is an article at
www.suntimes.com that reports:
"The Police plan to play arenas, stadiums and some festivals in a North American tour beginning May 28 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Confirmed cities on the tour include New York, Boston, Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas, New Orleans, St. Louis, Toronto and Montreal."

Hi Kids - I wasn't into them at the time, but I'm all caught up now. Yes, three great musicians, and Sting has inspired me with his basslines. Interesting, articulate songs, out here in South Dakota - nobody thought much of these guys when they showed up. Our bad! Textured guitar sounds of Mr Summers! Our little band covered a few off Synchronicity, we had our hands full. Fun stuff to play. Have a great week, ladies and gents!

I'm happy to hear that Police decided to do a reunion tour, they're great musicians and they wrote a lot of great songs.
Unfortunately, I don't know if they're going to play here in Italy...
Sting is a very focused player, and as a bass teacher I feel very important to hear and transcribe his songs with my students, his use of the pauses is something really fantastic, he locks perfectly between the guitar and the drums!
