Found this site I thought, this is cool!! So here I am! A bit about me, I'm living in South Florida now playing in various R&B / Blues bands. I've been playing fretless....geez a long time. I actually spent more time on fretless then fretted. When I was in music school way back when (5-Towns College on Long Island, NY), that is all I owned. I've had many over the years, but the two I have now I really love.
The first one in the picture is a Carvin Icon fretless. It features a beautiful figured walnut top on a alder body. The ebony fretboard is killer on this bass. I love Carvin gear, I also own a Carvin LB70E Elite fretted.
The second one is my Fender '62 Reissue Jazz Fretless. This is a not for export model made in the Japan. I got it through a music store in Japan. This is one of the nicest Fender's I have owned. I feel it actually plays better then the US Jaco model...but half the price! This bass has a rosewood fretboard, but it is hardest rosewood I've ever seen. It came equiped with Fender USA vintage series pickups.
Here are a couple corny live shots with the beasts!
