Flat Wound Strings

Post by Ryno23c » Tue May 14, 2013 2:06 pm

Hello,
Looking for suggestions on choosing some new flat wounds for my fretless jazz bass. Been playing Rotosound 77's .45-.65-.85-.105 but they feel stiff.

RotoSound 77 flats are among my favorite strings so those that I don't like might be good for you.

Thomastic Jazz Flats are low tension and I hate them but many other players think that they are the best string available. Teflon or black plastic wrapped strings might also suit you, low tension.

Search this forum for "strings", some good info there.
One good note makes my day.
