Way to go Bassksun!
Building your own basses is probably THE best method of learning all aspects of the instrument. We would very much like to see what you have created, even if not up to your own expectations, this accomplishment is leading you toward greater expertise both as a fretless player AND bass builder luthier.
When I purchased my first fretless in 1968 all I could afford was one axe so dove into it full time.
Thanks for sharing.

One good note makes my day.
Well here goes:
The "Nancylou" Spalted Maple, Brazilian Redwood FB, Pauduk, maple, Mahogony neck, Nordstrand Pups, Aguilar Pre, TI Jazz Flats.
My daily driver "Stanley" This is my go to bass. Passive. Maple top, poplar core. Maple, Pauduk neck, El Cheapo MM pup (It sounds almost as good as the Nordstrands...go figure ) Fender Custom Shop neck pup. D'Addario Chromes.
I've got 2 more on the drawing board. A fretted JBass 5 and a fretless 5 and then thats it for a while. I need to keep up with my music studies, form a quartet, family etc.
Thanks for your support.

The Stanley is very round with some mid scoop. It can go from burpy with a lot of mwah (solo rear pup) to very soft and woody (solo neck pup).
The Nancylou is just too much of everything! The Nords just drive...almost Wal like. With a different Pre I might be able to approximate the Wal sound.
Thanks for the comment. I try to personalize everything I make.
