I noticed this brand doesn’t sell in the USA, don’t know why, but it does in Europe. I changed the factory tuning machines to Schaller and the strings to black nylon tapewound GHS. I made a recording of the line signal, and a large diaphragm condenser Shure KSM27. With very little tweaking and EQ I got an amazing upright sound. I bought this bass after trying several popular and famous brands in the same price range (around $400/500). I was really surprised at the poor sound quality and finishing of the other instruments. If you’re looking for a portable upright sound (amplified, of course), and happen to see this baby somewhere, give it a try.
