This is my first fretless, and while the bridge was a pain to set up, it’s a very sweet bass. It’s *all* mahogany, with a Birds-eye Bubinga veneer (not photo-fit — it’s a big chunk of wood) that is stunning to look at in real life. The only maple in this axe is in the pinstripes on the neck, so I get oodles of dark, warm tone. The board is smooth, and the sound is very reminiscent of Jaco — as I said before, very dark and warm, with a lot more mids than my other Mahogany bod/Maple Neck bass.
